EDGE Mentoring Announces Second Season of Refuel + Recharge to Focus on Racial Reconciliation

INDIANAPOLIS (July 23, 2020) – With nearly 20,000 viewers tuning in to season one of the Refuel + Recharge Mental Wellness virtual event series, EDGE Mentoring is proud to announce season two: Race + Reconciliation. In partnership with Thrivent (Great Lakes and Mid-America Region), EDGE will host a series of virtual conversations with notable speakers to discuss racial justice, equity and reconciliation.

Refuel + Recharge is a key part in EDGE Mentoring’s broader initiative to promote whole-person development and community impact. “As we continue to listen, learn and engage in conversations around racism and injustice, we want this season of Refuel + Recharge to encourage people to do the same,” said Todd Richardson, CEO of EDGE Mentoring. “The work of racial justice and equity begins with each of us individually, learning from each other and engaging in thoughtful discussions within our communities, and then turning our conversations into actions that drive meaningful change.”

The first season of Refuel + Recharge launched in May 2020 for Mental Health Month and featured a total of nine notable contributors who spoke about mental wellness, including Ken Coleman, Carlos Whittaker, Max Yoder, Sarah Sheehan, Rebekah Lyons, Nathan Harmon, Mark Batterson, Curt Thompson and Shauna Niequist.
