Marketing Manager


About The Role

The Marketing Manager at EDGE will be a key player on the team supporting existing and new products and programs within the EDGE ecosystem. This person will actually click the buttons to run campaigns, setup systems, send emails, manage social media, lead website development, manage marketing contractors and projects.

The Marketing Manager will be independent and self-guided, initially tasked to develop, lead, and prove ROI of various marketing programs to support our growth and quality goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Building and managing a marketing plan and budget across Programs

  • Manage creative, web, digital, and content marketing contractors

  • Execute social media content creation and ads

  • Organize and manage all digital assets

  • Build and execute email marketing (design as needed and operations)

  • Support EDGE Programs to grow their impact, event attendees, and sales

  • Will work with contractors in the following areas:

    • Performance marketing & SEO

    • Creative/Brand

    • Event Marketers

    • Web Development


  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience in content or digital marketing

  • Using the power of influence. Strong at working with freelancers, software, agencies, etc.

  • Systems aptitude across marketing automation, email marketing, website development

  • Experience building, executing, and measuring a marketing plan including budget

  • Ability to work virtually and flexibly

  • Added plus for some moderate design skills to help build internal assets, social posts, and website design updates – likely built on canva or in adobe suite.

  • Writing skills are a plus

Initial Projects

  • Work with our agency to create detailed marketing plan with budget and project priorities and timelines (basic version can be part of interview/application process)

    • You’ll be making decisions like: what do we handle internally and what do we outsource? What are the key activities that will help us accomplish our goals? Who are the key stakeholders we need to get involved?

  • Lead brand strategy & refresh project

  • Lead website development project with a web development contractor

  • Help develop outbound sales & marketing strategy for EDGE|Work Program

  • Work with Fractional CMO/Consultant to guide strategy

  • Work on SEO/Content Marketing strategies and hire/manage freelance writers
