Marketing Intern
Dates of Internship: May – August 2019
Reports to: Marketing & Communications Manager

We’re searching for a summer Marketing Intern to assist with content creation, geographic expansion and field marketing initiatives to significantly grow and strengthen engagement in our mission. Term, pay, and hours will be negotiated with the candidate based on their academic requirements and schedule.
What you’ll be doing:
Marketing and Communication Initiatives

Social media & newsletter
-
Find relevant content to share via our newsletter and social media channels
-
Draft and schedule social posts in CoSchedule
-
-
Blog content
-
Write 2-3 blog posts per month covering our pillar topics
-

Event marketing
-
Corporate partnership management and scheduling/posting content for event promotion

-
Videography
-
Assist in the creation of internal and external facing video marketing

High level of ownership in the creation of a user-generated content video project
-
EDGE Event Coordination and Assistance
We’ll have approximately six events throughout the summer season.

Event planning

Assist with set-up/tear-down of events

Assist with event execution and logistics during events
-
Assist with RSVP tracking
-
Assist in connecting marketing efforts within event execution
-
Core Growth Initiatives
-
Assist with data processing and interpretation
-
Research location specific information for new market expansion in Atlanta, GA and other regions
-
Assist with new digital marketing initiatives
-
Assist with adding special touches and hospitality to business practices (i.e. thank you gifts, unique
follow-ups, etc.)

Educational Requirements

Current undergraduate or graduate student
Experience

Nonprofit and/or volunteer experience

Social media management
Required Skills:

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages
Working Conditions/Other Information
-
While there is flexibility in the work location, this position will require most hours spent working with other staff at a mutually agreed upon location.

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office setting

May be requested to work nights and weekends for special program events
Events and Partnership Intern

We’re searching for a summer Events and Partnership Intern to help drive initiatives and business growth by assisting with event planning, partnership building and geographic expansion. The Events and Partnership Intern will help our team create transformative experiences at our year-round events, including Burst Events, Women’s Events and and our annual leadership conference, EDGE|X. Term, pay, and hours will be negotiated with the candidate based on their academic requirements and schedule.
What you’ll be doing:
EDGE Event Coordination and Assistance
We’ll have approximately six events throughout the summer season.

Update event strategy documents including event outlines and RSVP tracking

Research event trends

There may be two summer events that require a few days of travel with staff to Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL.
