EDGE|WORK ADVISORS

 

Role Overview

EDGE|Work Advisors play a meaningful role in developing the next generation of leaders in our communities.

Advisors walk alongside a group of 5-7 emerging leaders during the year-long EDGE|Work program. As part of an EDGE|Work Group, advisors facilitate conversations, pose challenging questions, act as a mentor and coach, and help each individual grow as a whole-person as they work through the 12-month curriculum.


Interested in becoming an EDGE|Work advisor?

Advisors Commit to:

  • Virtually attend cohort kick-off and graduation

  • Meet with group twice per month

  • Schedule group meetings for the same day & time bi-weekly

  • Attend monthly advisor check-in call

  • Spend time preparing for each group meeting (approx. 30 minutes)

  • Use Slack to communicate to group participants and the EDGE Team

  • Have two 1:1 calls with each emerging leader during the length of the program

  • Create a safe space for emerging leaders where confidentiality is honored

  • Facilitate discussions, ask questions instead of providing answers

  • Attend the quarterly virtual speaker series

Qualifications + Compensation

Successful candidates are:

  • Certified Coaching Professionals or experienced in the areas of coaching, teaching, mentoring, or people development

  • Invested in developing others as a whole-person (all aspects of life)

  • Confident they don’t have all the answers but willing to challenge, ask tough questions, and guide conversation

  • Transparent, vulnerable, honest, and caring

  • Effective at building and leading teams

  • Organized and highly responsive with strong communication skills

Compensation is highly competitive and paid monthly on a contract basis per 12-month cohort engagement.
