This year, 2,500 leaders come together for EDGE|X 2019 and Leadership Week; hundreds of strong female leaders connected at our Women’s Events; our mentors and mentees gathered together in community at EDGE socials and service events; and new relationships were forged from partnering with local organizations. 

  

   

Our 2019 Events

In the spirit of National Mentoring Month, we hosted our Mentor Appreciation Lunch, where we recognized and celebrated our mentors and their commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders.

Nearly 80 women joined us on March 26 at The Well Coffeehouse for a special evening with Shannan Martin, author of The Ministry of Ordinary Places and Falling Free.

Our annual Connect Breakfast celebrates and recognizes our corporate partners. This year, we held a fireside chat with WISH-TV anchor Brooke Martin and Senior Vice President of Hulman Motorsports Allison Melangton.

We teamed up with Citizen 7 Indy for a Burst Event on the topic of “Brain Gain” and how our community can work together to both provide and spread awareness about opportunities in Indianapolis for workforce development.

Volunteers helped sort, organize, and display donations alongside staff members at Wheeler Mission’s Store and Donation Center for our first event of Leadership Week.

Mark Caswell, CEO of KSM Consulting, led an interactive Design Thinking session focused on “Designing Your Life” for one of our Leadership Week events leading up to EDGE|X 2019.

Nearly 200 guests joined us at our annual Ambassador Reception the evening before EDGE|X, including corporate partners, friends, and EDGE|X 2019 speakers Jordan Lee Dooley, Gary Brackett, and Ian Morgan Cron.

More than 200 leaders from around the city joined us for an insightful panel discussion that explored both the great progress that has been made and the challenges we still face within our city’s educational system.

In May, we hosted a Mentor Meetup for all of our current Group and Guest Mentors to connect with each other over some good food and drinks at Half Liter BBQ.

180 women joined us for an evening of fellowship and encouragement at our August Women’s Event, which featured the three powerhouse female leaders of Sseko Designs, Evereve, and Vera Bradley.

We partnered with the National Christian Foundation of Indiana for a special breakfast at Tinker House Events featuring John Cortines and Greg Baumer, co-authors of True Riches and God and Money.

EDGE mentors, mentees, and friends joined us for a fun evening during Leadership Week at Half Liter BBQ to celebrate and kick off EDGE|X 2019.

As our final event for Leadership Week, hosted an Enneagram Workshop with EDGE|X 2019 speaker Ian Morgan Cron, who shared about the Enneagram from a leadership perspective with 300 attendees.

We celebrated 10 years of ministry for He Knows Your Name and Linda Znachko at our final Women’s Event of the year, featuring authors Hannah Brencher and Shannan Martin, as well as ianacare founder Jessica Kim.
